When Your Favorite Mobile Game Makes More Than Pokemon Go!

Monday, Dec. 5th –
Hello and good Monday Giga-Landers! I seem to be running a bit late today, due to work and being human, but I also don’t have too terribly much time either.
So I just wanted to make a few notes, the first being that. . . I FINALLY FINISHED FATE/STAY NIGHT! Yes, after years of procrastination, I have finally finished the longest and most epic route of them all, Heavens Feel. It took me several weekends of with no human interaction to finally finish it, but I did it and I enjoyed every second of it! Except for the “Dead Ends”, those give me nightmares and make me feel terrible.
Secondly, and on that same note. . .
BOOM! Fate/Grand Order is officially more popular and successful (maybe) than Pokemon Go! At least in Japan, since FGO isn’t out in America (yet), their total revenue seems to be surpassing just about everything taking the #2 spot as most lucrative. It feels good to be right. To be part of the winning team for once! I don’t want to get all hipster, but I DO hope that the Fate series, or the Nasu-verse, gains some more steam in the near future. After all, we can’t get Mahoutsukai no Yoru if we don’t have money to hire translators to work on it!
NOW ON TO ANIME!
I’ve finally caught up to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and I’m terribly upset that I did. It’s definitely been a crazy ride and I can tell you for certain that it was totally worth it. Despite being a little episodic between the actual story parts, JoJo introduces a lot of ridiculous and original characters that tend to shy away from anime’s normal hum-drum tropes that seem to dominate the market. I know a lot of people crap on it for being so outlandish, but that’s what makes it so fun. It’s called Jojo’s BIZARRE Adventure for a reason, and we don’t go into it expecting a whole lot of logical outcomes and normal situations. The way the characters define themselves through their original personalities and dialogue really helps pull together a ridiculously fun show that I really recommend everyone gives a try. Oh, and the fights are nothing to scoff at either. The finale to Stardust Crusaders was an amazing and climactic fight that made steam-rollers prominent again. And that’s something I can get behind!
Anyway, that’s it for me today, Giga-Friends! I hope you have a wonderful day and an even better week! -J.R
