Hello again, Giga-Friends! Are any of you fans of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn!? I ask because the servers are down now for maintenance, preparing for the patch coming out tomorrow at 3AM! 3 New dungeons, 1 new raid, more story, more dragons, and (most importantly) more Hildebrand! If you aren’t familiar with the Hildebrand story, I highly suggest you look them up and/or do them in game. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth in laughs.
I’ve been play XIV since version 1.0 completely bombed and returned again once 2.0 was released. I can’t say its the best MMO on the planet, nor is it the best story, but I definitely have fun with the game. Messing around with my buddies, trying new dungeons, exploring and doing stupid stuff all make up part of the experience that I love. One of my favorite things to do is run the newest dungeons with my friends as soon as they come out. No one can tell us how to do something or when to do it. We can try and fail on our own, and have a helluva good time with it! If you’re thinking about joining, or are already on the Leviathan server, send me a message!
Other than that, I’ve been sticking with Persona 4 Golden and ever-so-slowly inching my way forward in Xenoblade. I truly am enjoying both games, but I don’t think I’ve ever talked about the latter. If you have a Wii, or are getting the new 3DS XL, I highly suggest trying Xenoblade. Its sort of how I feel that MMOs should play, in a sense, and Shulk’s foresight plays a huge role in the story and in combat. For instance, if you or one of your party members are going to take a hit that would KO them, Shulk’s foresight would kick in and let you try to take actions to stop the attack, defend the person, or any other variant. It’s crazy fun, and there is so much stuff to do, that you’ll spend well over 100 hours on the game. Plus, the story is pretty damn amazing.
NOW ON TO ANIME!
It looks like Log Horizon is taking us on another side-quest with our low level friends. Minori and her party are going on a quest to find the magic bag of whatever, and have just departed from Akiba. How many episodes it will take . . . no one knows. All I can say is, the less Shiroe, the more uncomfortable I feel. . . The previous episode starred Shiroe’s old friend and leader who had ended up on the Chinese servers. One of her comrades is an amazing allusion to one of America’s most well known cartoons . . . and it’s bloody amazing.
If you haven’t heard, Tales of Zestiria had an OVA last week. I’m a huge fan of the series as a whole, so I watched it at my first chance. I have to say, the aesthetics were absolutely gorgeous. The anime was done by UFOtable, who are widely known for being damn good at what they do. I don’t want to spoil it for you, because it basically explains a little about the game, but even if you don’t like the story, you’ll definitely appreciate what your eyes will behold. For an OVA to look this good just puts me in awe, I really want people to watch this just to see how outstanding UFOtable is. Look below for beauty. . .
Anyway, all our reviews for last seasons anime are done and just going through some final edits. We’ll be starting our first impressions on this season’s stuff next week. Look forward to it, like I know you already do!
