I Still Love Alliteration. . .
Also, Broken Computers = Broken Hearts

Hello again my Giga-Friends! I hope your past week was much better than mine! As you can surmise from the title, my computer crapped out on me last week. . . The bad thing about a broken computer part is that diagnosing it isn’t always easy. Especially when that part is your motherboard. . . I’m sure a lot of us are knowledgeable enough to understand computers a little but, having a broken motherboard is a total pain in the ass. You hope and pray it’s anything BUT the motherboard or hard drive, but Murphy’s Law, am I right? Anyway, I spent two whole days running to and from the electronics store grabbing parts and replacing them in my computer, thankfully for me, someone stole my hours at work and I was able to get it working again at about 2:00 AM Friday morning. . . I’m good at what I do guys. . .
And THAT’S the reason why our articles are late!
Well, that, and David’s birthday was last week! So another (belated) Happy Birthday to my good friend and co-writer! May alcohol flow like water and D&D games be plenteous in his years to come!
Other than that, I’ve been trying to save money for a PS4 lately. . . Bloodborne, MGS 5, and even the upcoming/updated Sengoku Basara 4 will all be bought swiftly and soundly . . . when I have $600 to spend. . . . . . . . . Speaking of Metal Gear Solid, if you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard the news, Konami has basically fired Hideo Kojima. They have downgraded his status to a Contractor and given him until the release of MGS 5 to stay, at which point they will terminate his contract. This sucks for a lot of reasons, my own being ones of loyalty, but more on the gaming side of things. What does this say about the future of Metal Gear, Zone of the Enders, or even Silent Hill? Konami hasn’t stated why this is happening yet, but it seems that the general masses have rallied behind Kojima and some have even sworn off Konami after the release of MGS 5. Hmmm. . . maybe not the smartest move in the world, guys.
NOW ON TO ANIME!
So I talked a bit about anime I LIKED recently, but none of the stuff I thought was less than stellar. One particular one was Mikagura Gakuen in which students of certain clubs physically fight for budget money, nicer rooms, and other facilities through arranged matches. The idea was pretty cool and, executed properly, it may even be really fun! But, I can’t really say I like the main character, Eruna, very much. She is much like a female version of Brock from Pokemon in that she is always falling in love with every.single.girl she comes into contact with. It was kinda funny at first, but much like Pokemon, it got very old, very quickly. But, that’s just my taste personally. Some people dig that kinda humor, which is cool! Just . . . the same joke 10+ times in one episode is a bit much for me. At its best it’s decent, but I can’t say much more than that.
Etotama wasn’t much to look at either. An anime about the cat-spirit trying to become one of the Twelve (Chinese) Zodiacs, it ended up being kind of bland. It wasn’t the cutesy chibi/3D battles they had, or the normal moe-moe art style that bugs me . . . I think it’s just the lack of personality from the main character makes it incredibly . . . boring. I don’t mind if a character is supposed to be a point of insertion (giggidy) for the watcher, but when he’s about as deep as a puddle it just makes the show bland. That, and the gags are all pretty normal. Aside from one or two jokes, it didn’t really do it for me. Did I mention that all the Zodiacs are cute animal girls? I should have, I think that’s important. Because Nekomimi.
Anyway, that’s it for me today my Giga-Friends! I hope you all have a great Monday and an even better week!
