Oh . . .  Yeah . . . Something About E3?

Or, Whatever.

Monday, June 15th –

Hello again, Giga-Friends! Are you poor yet from buying all these amazing games on the Steam Summer Sale yet? BECAUSE I AM!

Do you EVEN Tuturu?

Do you EVEN Tuturu?

. . . Well, not really poor, but I have been buying games. Most noticeably Bunny Must Die! Chelsea and the Seven Devils, the Shantae games, and, of course, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds including the Makise Kurisu (Steins; Gate) DLC! BECAUSE KURISU!

Also, if you are a fan of JRPGs, all of Y’s games are on a huge sale, today only! Go buy them! NOW PLEASE! Adol is my hero!

Anyway, enough of that. E3 is happening right now, and we should be throwing out some info later this week on some of the key points. Most noticeable right now is the Fallout 4 Collector’s Edition with some stuff or something. You can tell, I really care. Right? Other than that, the juicy parts (HA) are yet to come, so stay tuned for that!

Anime Expooooo!

Anime Expooooo!

Thirdly (?), AX is just around the corner and my body is definitely ready. My fellow writer David has laid out some plans on famous LA places we should be eating at. First on our list: Day 0 – Gaja Japanese Restaurant! A restaurant renowned for its Okonomiyaki! I’m crazy excited to try some new food, and even more excited to see some friends at the con! OH! THE ANTICIPATION!

Speaking of anticipation, the early access for FF XIV: Heavensward starts on Friday! I’m insanely excited about that too, and this week is already dragging on because of it. I have this stupd time machine, but it only goes forward at normal speed! . . . *ba-dum tss* . . .

NOW ON TO ANIME!

I’m still absolutely loving Shokugeki no Souma! David and I have spent a lot of time talking about how it really does portray Shounen in a different, yet familiar way. The rivals, the ideal self, the rookie, everything displayed is almost nostalgic but different in a way that makes it refreshing. Souma, most notably, is absolutely amazing at every turn. UGH! I can’t talk more without spoiling it! DAMMIT! GO WATCH SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT!

Takeo . . . At least I don't LOOK like him . . . Do I?. . .

Takeo . . . At least I don’t LOOK like him . . . Do I?. . .

I’ve been keeping up with Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!) so far, and it’s honestly really enjoyable. Most of our readers know that I’m not a fan of the genre, but this one blows most of the tropes out of the water and gets past all the angsty teenage “there’s no way s/he could love me” BS in three episodes! THREE! Anyway, it’s an amazing “feel-good” anime that keeps me smiling at every turn. Though, one of my co-workers . . . and all of Gigaventure compares me to Takeo, the main character. He’s very old-school when it comes to dating, he’s gentlemanly, strong, reliable . . . He’s someone you just have to love. But, maybe we were just born in the wrong era. I’ll get my moment! ONE DAY! (Ladies, I’m single.)

Anyway, that’s it for me today, Giga-Friends! I hope you have a great Monday and an even better week! -J.R
