Hello again, my Giga-Friends! I trust you are getting more excited as we get closer to Christmas? And to my Jewish friends, I hope your Hanukkah was splendid! I can’t help but get excited during the Christmas season, and not just because of the copious amounts of lights, decorations, and awesome tree smell in my house. People tend to be much, much nicer during the Holidays because they remember that being human is a tough thing without having to fight one another. So, being kind becomes the new norm and everyone seems a bit more light-hearted . . . unless you work in retail. . . Though, I do have a few personal stores about how people going out of their way to be kind to someone in my store. More on that later.

And MECHS! Because I missed those from Xenosaga/Xenogears!

In other, more exciting news, Xenoblade Chronicles X finally came out! Though I loathe to admit it, I haven’t had the chance to play it yet and not just because I haven’t opened my WiiU yet. I MAY be getting that specific game for Christmas. . .  Anyway, I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews from the game so far, and I’m absolutely ecstatic about that especially after having played the amazing Xenoblade. This time around, you get to make your own character that travels with the main group, somewhat reminiscent of White Knight Chronicles but much better. You choose your own class and style of combat and can take that specific character online to play with your buddies. If you’ve played games with me before, or have known me for awhile, you’d know that I instantly go for the Samurai class every time it’s available. To my surprise, this game has just that. I don’t know what it is about the style: The way the katana is held, the cold and calculated strikes, the way the sword moves in an almost poetic way to cut down its target . . . I love all of it. So, when Christmas finally rolls around, I’ll probably escape to my cave to play that for hours on end, time permitted.

Of course, I am working on National Returns Day (The day after Christmas). . . . . .

NOW ON TO ANIME!

Amazing Saitama is amazing. Perfectly accurate to the manga, down to the lines!

My friends, we are now reaching the end of the Fall Season of anime. That, friends, makes me insanely jubilant but also incredibly sad. I cannot wait for the finales of both One Punch Man and Noragami! But, I also really don’t want either of them to end, especially the former. OPM has yet to disappoint on any episode and has gone out of its way to impress beyond all measure. I’m sure it will get a second season, but being a monthly release it will probably take some time for that second season to appear. . .

Shokugeki no S- . . . Uh . . . What was I talking about? I watch it for the story!

Speaking of second seasons, Shokugeki no Souma is getting one! You can bet I jumped for joy when I saw that in the Shounen Jump insert. If you follow this blog or the Gigaventure site at all, you’ll know everyone here at Gigaventure (i.e David and I) all enjoyed that particular anime to no end. The way the show is presented is on a scale of its own and really brings forth how much effort, dedication, and research was poured into the source material. I can say for certain that I will definitely be watching that and maybe even be doing a first time second-season review on it. If you haven’t watched it yet, now is the time to catch up! You have nothing to lose!!!

Anyway, that’s it for me this week Giga-Landers! I hope you have a great Monday, a better week, and an even better Christmas Month! -J.R
