I Miss Having Time To Beat Games
Also, Games I Want To Play

Hello again my Giga-Landers! It has been quite a while since I’ve posted. In my defense though, the week before last I posted my second review article and last week was . . . well it was my day off!. . .
So no legitimate excuse. I apologize.
Lately, I’ve been trying to catch up on my video game playing . . . and beating. The latter being something I have not accomplished in a long while. I’m still stuck on Xenoblade Chronicles X which is still amazing. But, I’ve also started and completed my first run through of UnderTale. It . . . it really hurt my heart, that game. A very strong story about sacrifice and weeaboo dinosaurs and dating skeletons. I highly suggest checking it out if you get a chance. It isn’t very long and the range of emotions it forces you to feel is really worth the $10 or so.
Speaking of games, Fire Emblem: Fates came out last Friday. Although I was the third or fourth person to pre-order it at my GameStop, I wasn’t able to pick up my copy. No slight against the workers there, the system genuinely just sucks. But, I guess even that was a blessing in disguise. Apparently Treehouse, the group that translated the game, did a wonderfully terrible job of localizing it. Even going so far as to remove large portions of dialogue and completely changing a few characters’ personalities. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal to me until I saw the extent they went through to “politically correct-ify” it . . . and heard the voice acting. Coming from an anonymous source, the actors were supposedly given little to no direction which explains the peculiar . . . styles.
I’ll probably skip this particular game or just buy the Japanese version.
NOW ON TO ANIME
Please, please watch Boku Dake ga Inai Machi. It’s popular for a reason and its relentless attack on my feels is putting me in a state of complete fear whenever I watch!
I talked a little about Hai to Gensou no Grimgar (Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash) in mega-awesome review. It’s a very melancholy look at the Fantasy to lifestyle. None f the necessities our heroes need are supplied for them, like in normal games or anime. Instead, our group must survive by the skin of their teeth fighting one goblin at a time. It didn’t move very quickly, and is now about emotion than fighting, but I’m really enjoying his it plays out. I suggest watching if you liked Log Horizon.
Also, I finished Season 3 of RWBY. It hurt. It hurt a lot. That show got so very, very dark. IT WAS SO GOOD! But it hurt SO BAD!
Anyway, that’s it for me today my Giga-Friends! I hope you have s great Monday and an even better week! -J.R
